Plum Cake Recipe
Plum cake refers to a wide range of cakes made with either dried fruit or with fresh fruit. There is a wide range of popular plum cakes and puddings.
Ingredients Of Plum Cake
Maida – 250 gms
Eggs – 4
Milk – 2 table spoons
Sugar – 250 gms
Tuti Fruti – 2 tea spoons
Coco powder – 1 table spoon
Oil – 50 gms
Butter – 50 gms
ghee – 2 table spoons
Salt – a pinch
Almonds – 125 gm (chopped)
Vanilla Essence – 1/2 tea spoons
Baking Powder – 1 tea spoon
Baking Soda – 1/2 tea spoon
Dates – 4
First break eggs and grind that in a mixer.
Add sugar, butter, ghee and grind again.
In a mixing bowl take maida, add baking soda, baking powder, salt and mix well.
Add coco powder, tuti fruti, vanilla essence and dates and combine.
Now add grinded egg mixture and mix well to make a paste.
Then add oil and milk to it and mix.
Take a cake bowl and grease it with oil or butter.
Pour the cake mixture into the cake bowl to half the level.
Take a pressure cooker and put sand in the bottom of the cooker.
Heat it for 10 to 15 minutes.
Then keep the cake bowl in the cooker and close the cooker lid without whistle.
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes check whether the cake is cooked or not by inserting a spatula in it. If the cake sticks to spatula then cook for more 5 minutes.
Now remove from the cooker.
Cut into pieces and garnish with dry fruits and tuti fruti.
